London Kitchen Extension with Slim Pivot Doors

IQ installed two bespoke aluminium pivot doors onto this early Victorian mid-terrace home in South London. A side return extension was built onto this home as the clients required an improvement in the layout of the home as well as a link between the internal and external living spaces.

These large pivot doors have the same 21mm slim frame as our minimal windows sliding glass doors and step-free as a full height window that can pivot open when required, ideal for rear garden extensions.

One of the main requirements of the clients was to have a link between the internal and external living spaces. The wide opening of these doors allows the internal space to be merged with the external space with step-free access. The flooring used both internally and externally is continuous, enhancing this merge.

The side return extension has been built with a similar brick to blend in well with the original property.

These bespoke aluminium pivot doors have a gold effect powder coated frame, providing an elegant and contemporary design to the more traditional style side return extension. The same powder coated colour has been used internally to add more elegance to the already stunning all-white kitchen and dining space.

The slim framing and large glazed panels maximise the natural light intake and views of the garden without any framing obstruction. The large sizes also make the new space appear bigger internally.
