IQ Glass Manchester is the Northern regional office of IQ Glass, specialising in the design, supply and installation of bespoke architectural glazing for architect-led residential projects across Manchester, Cheshire, Yorkshire, the Lake District and Northern Ireland.

As part of one of the UK’s leading architectural glazing specialists, the Manchester team combines local, responsive service with the technical depth, engineering expertise and delivery capability of the wider IQ Glass group. Our focus is on minimally framed and structural glass designs that support ambitious architectural intent while meeting demanding performance and buildability requirements.

Architects, designers and contractors often engage with the Manchester team at a very early stage of a project. This allows us to advise on feasibility, system selection and technical strategy long before planning or construction begins, ensuring glazing design is fully integrated into the overall architecture.

Who We Are

IQ Glass Manchester represents IQ Glass’s established presence across the North of the UK. Launched in 2022, the office was created to provide a dedicated regional base for northern architects and clients, while remaining fully integrated with IQ Glass’s central design, engineering, project management and aftercare teams.
 
From our Manchester location, we support high-value and design-led residential projects throughout the North, delivering complex architectural glazing packages with clarity, precision and close collaboration.

Alex joined IQ Glass in 2020 as a Project Manager at the company’s headquarters before relocating to Manchester in 2022 to establish the Northern regional office. He oversees all architectural glazing projects across Manchester, Cheshire, Yorkshire, the Lake District and surrounding regions, providing detailed technical coordination and hands-on project management from design through to installation.
 

Company History

The Manchester office grew naturally from IQ Glass’s expanding workload across the North of the UK. As demand increased for regionally based technical support and on-site delivery, a dedicated Manchester presence was established in 2022.
 
Working closely with the Midlands and central IQ Glass teams, the Manchester office has since become a key regional hub, supporting architect-led residential projects across the North and Northern Ireland with a reputation for technical clarity, collaboration and dependable delivery.

How Our Service Works

Architects and specifiers typically contact the Manchester team at an early project stage, often before planning submission. At this point, we advise on what is achievable, discuss performance requirements and provide outline budgets to support cost planning.
As designs progress, we work closely with the project team to ensure structural, thermal and drainage requirements are fully coordinated with the glazing design. Once a contractor is appointed, IQ Glass is engaged as a specialist subcontractor to design, supply and install the glazing package, with continued technical and project management support throughout construction.
