IQ Glass Scotland

Architectural glazing in Scotland

Architectural glazing specialists in Scotland

IQ Glass are one of the UK’s leading architectural glazing companies, specialising in bespoke glazing packages for architect-led residential projects and one-off luxury homes. Our Scotland regional office supports projects throughout Scotland, giving architects, contractors and private clients local access to the technical knowledge, design guidance and specification support of the wider IQ Glass business.

Working regionally allows us to collaborate closely with project teams from an early stage, whether that is reviewing glazing design intent, advising on suitable systems or coordinating technical requirements through planning, design development and delivery. Our team understands the particular considerations of building in Scotland, including planning requirements, heritage settings, demanding weather conditions and the need for robust thermal performance. Every project is supported by the wider IQ Glass infrastructure, including our design, technical sales advisory, project management and aftercare teams, ensuring a locally accessible service backed by national expertise.

Our Team of Expert Glaziers

The Scotland regional office forms part of the wider IQ Glass business, giving clients throughout Scotland direct access to a specialist architectural glazing company with more than 20 years of experience. IQ Glass supports projects with technical sales advisors, designers, project managers and aftercare support, allowing architects and contractors to work with a team that understands both design ambition and the practical requirements of bespoke glazing delivery.

Scottish Planning, Heritage and Performance Requirements

IQ Glass Scotland works on projects that often involve complex planning conditions, historic contexts and challenging environmental demands. Our team understands the importance of balancing contemporary glazing design with local planning policy, heritage sensitivity and long-term performance, helping project teams develop solutions that respect the character of a site while achieving high standards of thermal performance, weather resistance and buildability.

Employee Ownership and Long-Term Stability

In 2024, IQ Glass became an employee-owned business, securing the long-term future of the company and reinforcing a culture of shared responsibility across every part of the organisation. For our clients, this supports continuity, accountability and long-term commitment, with every project supported by a team that has a direct stake in the quality of the service and solutions we provide.

Company History

IQ Glass is an evolution of Glasszone, which was founded in 2001 specialising in structural glass design for commercial buildings in London. In 2010, IQ Glass was established to focus on structural glazing and minimally framed glazing systems for the private residential market, responding to growing demand from architects for a highly technical glazing partner on bespoke house projects. Since then, IQ Glass has grown into one of the UK’s leading architectural glazing companies, working on high-specification residential projects throughout the country.

How We Work

IQ Glass works with architects, specifiers, contractors and private clients from the early design stages of a project, advising on suitable glazing systems, buildability, performance and technical detailing. Once appointed, our team develops the project through technical design, coordination and delivery, with installation and aftercare support available as required. This early-stage involvement helps ensure that complex glazing designs are developed with both architectural intent and practical execution in mind.
