Hanbury Hall Shortlisted for Heritage project in AJ Architecture Awards

Hanbury Hall, by Glenn Howells Architects, has been shortlisted for the prestigious 2024 AJ Architecture Awards, in the Heritage Project category. Located in Worcestershire, Hanbury Hall is a stately home with historic significance. The AJ Architecture Awards celebrate the best in UK architecture, rewarding projects that demonstrate design excellence, innovation, and a positive contribution to the built environment.   

Hanbury Hall’s shortlisting for the AJ Architecture Awards is a celebration of both its rich historical legacy and its contemporary revival. The project serves as an inspiring example of how adaptive reuse can breathe new life into heritage buildings, preserving their cultural significance while making them relevant for future generations.  

This bespoke Heritage Project featured slim Sliding Glass doors with Timber posts and a frameless structural glass link that connects to the Grade I listed building, and was supplied and installed by IQ Glass.

IQ Glass designed and installed the bespoke glazing elements that would blend seamlessly into the building’s historic framework. Creating minimalist, high-performance glass structures was crucial in achieving the delicate balance between preservation and innovation for this Heritage project.
