Michal Piekarewicz

Michal Piekarewicz is Installations Director at IQ Glass and is responsible for research  and development, installation oversight, aftercare services, servicing and warranty  programmes, as well as leading the company's Small Works Division. He is one of the company's longest-serving directors and a driving force behind many of its technical  innovations.

Having joined the business in 2008 when it was operating as Glasszone, Michal started  as a site installer before rapidly progressing into management. His extensive technical  expertise and practical understanding of specialist glazing systems led to his  appointment to the board in 2014. He also managed the creation and expansion of the  award-winning IQ Glass Design Studio and headquarters in Amersham, overseeing  major development phases in both 2014 and 2020.

Michal is particularly recognised for developing the Invisio Structural Glazing System,  the world's first fully thermally broken structural glass fixing system. Combining  engineering innovation with practical installation knowledge, he specialises in turning

ambitious architectural concepts into durable, buildable glazing solutions. His work  continues to advance IQ Glass's reputation as a leader in bespoke architectural glazing.

As head of research and development, Michal also plays a central role in the creation  and evolution of IQ Glass's technical specifications, system details and product  standards. Working closely with manufacturers, engineers and design teams, he leads  the technical development of glazing systems, performance specifications and  installation methodologies that support some of the most complex architectural  projects undertaken by the company. His detailed understanding of building physics,  structural glazing and system performance helps ensure that IQ Glass remains at the  forefront of technical innovation within the architectural glazing industry.
