Sheldon Avenue

Sliding Glass Doors with Non 90° Opening Corner

IQ’s slim framed sliding glass doors were used on the rear of this extension in North London.

The highly glazed extension to the rear of this large family home was designed with interesting, non-orthogonal angles across the whole rear face.

Location

North London

Frameless structural glass panels were used overhead as shaped overlights above a slim steel support. Below IQ’s  sliding glass doors with their minimal frames slid away from angles of various sizes allow the family to open up a large section of the rear elevation.

When closed the doors show a minimal 21mm sightline with flush floor tracks across the open sections.
In the back garden, a walk on glass floor light allows natural light into the basement space below which now houses a cinema room.
