This large barn in Taunton has been converted into a spectacular interior space, with the introduction of large glass sliding doors. minimal windows® high performacne sliding doors make a huge difference for the cold winter months as they are fully thermally broken to ensure they retain heat, keeping the barn nice and cosy.
The five-panel system spans over 10m in length and all five panes slide away into pockets on either side of the opening for a completely open aperture.
Traditional brown timber is used to form shutters, which slide across the front of the large glazed opening when the space is not in use, keeping the construction secure and private if required. The sliding glass doors with timber internal posts create a contrast, with the warm wood tones offsetting the aluminium profiles for a unique combination of materials and colours.
