Project overview
Located in Buckinghamshire, this residential extension was designed to enhance natural light, improve the flow between indoor and outdoor spaces, and create a flexible open-plan living environment.
The design combines traditional brickwork with modern architectural glazing, demonstrating how contemporary rear extensions can complement existing homes while delivering improved functionality and visual appeal.
Slim Framed Sliding Doors for Maximum Transparency
A key feature of the project is the installation of ultra-slim sliding glass doors configured in a bi-parting arrangement. This design maximises the opening width and creates a wide connection between the home and outdoor entertaining areas.
The rear glazed elevation consists of, two sliding panels and two fixed glass panels wich are aproximently 8 metres wide and 3 metres high. When closed, the slim sliding doors provide exceptional views through minimal 21mm sightlines, delivering a near-frameless appearance that maximises daylight and enhances the sense of space throughout the extension.
