IQ Glass Sliding Doors Fill the Entire Structural Opening to a Renovated London Terrace

Large slim frame sliding glass doors fill the entire structural opening on the rear face of this residential refurbishment. IQ Glass also installed a perpendicular fixed frameless effect roof light to the open-plan living area.

Slim frame sliding glass doors connect the new open plan living space to the garden seamlessly with a flush freeway base track leading out onto the newly landscaped garden oasis. Using this base track has allowed for easy access to the living area and garden.

The minimal windows sliding doors create a full wall of floor-to-ceiling glass façades. When closed these exclusive sliding glass doors minimise the division of inside and out with their slim 21mm framing.

large glass roof light positioned above the minimal windows allows maximum light exposure, whilst ensuring clean consistent lines across the architectural design. The solution to the lack of natural light in living spaces presents the flush walk-on roof light being functional from both angles.

The top floor of this London terrace house also underwent renovations. The new roof terrace has been finished with frameless glass balustrades. The frameless glass effect enables uninterrupted views across the city, on the left-hand side with a translucent finish added for privacy from overlooking gardens.

The frameless glass balustrades along the roof terrace allow the light to filter through onto the outdoor living space from all angles negating any shadowing.
