The Mitika Internal door is part of the ADL Internal Door range from IQ. These Italian designed doors are characterised by their slim aluminium profiles, large array of glass finishes and exquisite detailing.
Mitika is an extremely versatile internal door solution, highly suited to luxury and modern interior schemes for both residential and commercial design. The slim aluminium framing of each internal door is available in a full catalogue of metallic finishes including RAL colours. The sliding door framing is now also available in a timber veneer for a wooden effect frame.
Available in a pivoting, hinged, sliding, pocket sliding and bifolding door configuration the Mitika is by far the most versatile of the ADL internal range.
You can also integrate your chosen glazing bar design into the Mitika door for a steel door design with a lighter aluminium frame.
This internal glass door incorporates a single layer of toughened glass within the minimal framing. The glass pane can be specified in a wide range of decorative finishes including clear, smoked, frosted, reflective or printed glass effects.
As with all the ADL Range the Mitika door is available with a selection of handle options. This door is also available with integrated key locking if required. Please view our product information sheet for handle and locking options.

The slim metal framing of the Mitika system makes it the perfect solution for steel look industrial interior glazing. Glazing bars can be integrated into the glass face into the design or pattern of your choice to create the design required.
The aluminium frame is slimmer and lighter than true steel profiles which is more in keeping with most interior schemes. Thanks to these light weight profiles the Mitika system can be used as steel look internal glazing in almost any configuration including bifold, sliding, pivot, hinged and pocket sliding doors.
Our showroom in Amersham showcases a steel look internal bifolding door using the Mitika framing. Make an appointment to see the showroom and this steel look bifold for yourself.
The Mitika sliding glass door range is available as an internal sliding door with up to 4 tracks. You also have the flexibility of a range of mounting options for the top hung rail including Ceiling Mounted or Wall Mounted options. In addition, you can select a head frame that can be concealed within plasterboard at the ceiling.
Each sliding pane can be up to 1.5m wide x 3.2m tall. With tracks systems up to 4 available, you can create large internal sliding partitions that slide linearly for a 4-pane opening. Alternatively, choose a bi-parting configuration and create wider expanses of sliding glass.
As the internal sliding panes are top hung no base frame or threshold is required.
Anti-skid/soft close mechanisms can also be integrated into the sliding doors for a soft close function. The sliding doors can also be designed to slide into hidden recesses within a wall to create a sliding pocket door.
Create long elevations of folding internal doors with the bifolding version of Mitika.
This internal bifolding door system is available in bi folding configurations from 2 panes to 6 panes. Each bifolding pair can be up to 1.8m wide x 3.2m tall.
Internal bifolds made up of two bifolding leafs (including a 4 pane bifold door that is bi-parting) do not need any floor tracks or thresholds. If your opening configuration includes more than 2 panes folding in one direction then a shallow floor track will be needed for stability and support. This track is made of aluminium, finished black and is 21.5mm deep x 37.3mm wide.
Each bifolding leaf has a standard Mitika frame of 28mm. The resulting vertical profile where the panes meet is 59mm (2x28mm frames plus 3mm tolerance).
The Mitika door leafs are also available in a range of hinged and pivoting opening types.
The swing/hinged internal doors are available with different jamb/architrave types and designs to suit a wide variety of project types and wall thicknesses. These options include a telescopic frame and architrave which is perfect for retrofitting the doors or renovation projects. Alternatively you can completely conceal the jamb frames in the wall and ceiling.
Any visible architraves are available to be finished as an aluminium frame, covered in glass or covered in timber as required.
The hinged Mitika doors are available in panes up to 0.9m wide x 2.9m tall. Double opening doors are also possible.
The pivoting door is available with exposed or concealed hinges. It is also available in a specialised freestanding pivot that sits in front of the doorway. This is another option that is perfect for retrofitted doors or renovation projects. If a freestanding frame is chosen you can also integrate an LED lighting strip around the profile to create a stunning feature door.
The pivoting doors can be up to 1.2m wide x 2.9m tall.
The glass within the door system is 6mm toughened glass that is available in a wide range of glass finishes.
The surrounding aluminium frame is very minimal and able to be finished in a range of colours. These frame colours include standard metalic finishes as well as specialist designs of Corten, bronze and silver.
NEW for 2018 >> The ADL Mitika door frame is now available in a timber frame finish. Using specialist timber veneers the slim aluminium frame is finished in a timber design in either:
Light European Oak
Smoked European Oak
Other timber stains are available on request.
