The Invisio Structural Glazing was utilised to create seamless glazed elevations that connect the internal living spaces with the expansive views of the Perthshire landscape. These frameless elements offer uninterrupted sightlines and were triple-glazed using toughened glass. Each pane underwent rigorous heat soaking to significantly reduce the risk of spontaneous glass breakage caused by non-detectable inclusions, a critical requirement for long-term durability and occupant safety in such a high-spec home.

minimal windows® sliding doors were specified for key openings within the home, providing wide-span access to external terraces while maintaining the building’s clean, contemporary lines. These systems feature slim sightlines and, like the Invisio system, are fabricated with triple-glazed, toughened glass that has been heat tested to ensure optimal performance and safety. Their sleek appearance and precision engineering were fundamental to achieving the seamless indoor-outdoor experience envisioned by the architects.

The Sieger Casement Windows and doors further enhance the home’s modern appeal while offering versatile functionality. The system includes aluminium-framed doors with tilt and turn mechanisms, alongside several triple-glazed window configurations, including side-hung casements. All components were designed to meet the strict performance and aesthetic standards set for this unique contemporary house in Scotland.

Set in the heart of the Scottish countryside, Perthshire Quays is a striking example of a contemporary house in Scotland that blends cutting-edge architectural design with the serene natural beauty of its surroundings. This modern family residence stands as a beacon of high-end residential design and structural innovation, tailored for the unique demands of rural Scotland.

Despite the tight deadlines and the logistical complexity of installing large-format glazing using specialist cranes, the installation process was executed smoothly and completed on schedule. This precision-led delivery was made possible through close collaboration between IQ Glass, the architects, and the main contractor, ensuring the glazing systems integrated flawlessly with the architectural vision.

Perthshire Quays exemplifies how intelligent design and precision-engineered glazing systems can elevate the architectural narrative of a contemporary house in Scotland. The project serves as a showcase of what can be achieved when ambitious design meets technical excellence, delivering a home that is not only visually arresting but also built to withstand the climatic demands of the Scottish Highlands.
