The MARS roof light offers unparalleled performance values in a fully automated, smart rooflight system. A truly unique sliding system, developed by the in-house team of designers at IQ, used to introduce light to the living spaces below whilst offering a roof access solution.

The modern system is manufactured in our fabrication factory in Amersham, resulting in short lead times from just 10 weeks. During the manufacturing process, the glass is structurally bonded to the frame, offering enhanced levels of security whilst maintaining the most minimal design. Both the frame and cassette are thermally broken, to ensure the system achieves impressive thermal performances as well as high-security levels.

The MARS can be specified as a venting system as well as sliding, where a moving pane slides over a fixed pane, this can also act as an automated venting solution. The venting option utilizes captive rail technology to provide ventilation without being completely open, ensuring the safety of the homeowners.

Elegantly designed to offer the slimmest system, the MARS is designed with minimalism in mind. The outer frame can be completely concealed within the building finishes, presenting a frameless effect from the internal view. The modern automated rooflight system has been extensively tested in our fabrication facility to ensure its suitability for a wide range of properties, including those in coastal locations.

As you can see in the video, IQ Glass has carried out extensive testing to ensure the smooth operation of the advanced sliding system. Sliding effortlessly over a fixed pane or existing roof structure, the automated system has been designed to accommodate large sizes, with larger motors available where needed.

The MARS  - modern automated rooflight system can be integrated with a smart home system, to open through the control of a smartphone or as part of a wider system. Also available as a simple wall switch, the system is perfect for creating modern roof terraces or gardens.
