Refurb & Restore Features Mount House in Issue 25

Refurb & Restore magazine wrote a feature surrounding Mount House, a completed project by IQ Glass that utilised a number of Sieger Aluminium systems to create a modern, highly glazed annex.

A frameless glass link joins the annex and the main house, with internal glass doors at either end to allow the natural light to bounce freely through the internal living spaces. The slim framed aluminium systems have been used to create a gable end glass structure, complete with sliding glass doors and a triangular fixed window.

The slim framed sliding glass door has a flush threshold detail, allowing the homeowners to merge indoor and outdoor environments for one large living space. The thermally insulated glass link was engineered using frameless structural glass for the most minimal design, allowing light and views to pass through the structure.

Natural wood floors were used in conjunction with the minimal glazing, to forge a strong connection to the outdoors and create an indoor-outdoor style of living.
