IQ offers guidance on reducing solar gain with technical glazing solutions


Overheating can occur in buildings when the sun shines directly upon the facade; heat passes into the walls, as well as through opening windows and doors. Unless that heat is rapidly removed, the building will overheat. This can have several negative consequences, including discomfort and decreased productivity for the occupants. 

IQ recommends using Solar control glass with a protective coating to ensure excess heat is prevented from passing through windows and doors.
