Livingetc Features IQ Glass Project!

A look at a double height glass box extension in London.

One of our completed projects in London was recently featured in Livingetc, recognised for the bespoke structural glazing that was used to create the double height extension. The fully glazed rooftop extension was added to a penthouse apartment, expanding their useable space without altering the wider building design.

Structural glass beams were used as supporting elements to offer additional structural support whilst maintaining a fully glazed, minimal design. Due to the location and size of the oversized glazing, solar control coatings were specified within the bespoke structural glazing to eliminate the risk of overheating within the glass box extension.

The rooftop extension utilised sliding glass door solutions to create an opening that did not take up any space, sliding over the glass wall to reveal a completely open aperture that lead directly to the terraced area.
