Kitchen extension ideas from Love Renovate

Love Renovate have written an online article that sheds a light on several renovation projects with exciting kitchen extension ideas. Modern kitchen extensions tend to create open plan living spaces that lead out into the garden through large and minimalist sliding or bifolding doors.

Opening up the whole aperture of a room, like an open plan kitchen, creates flowing architectural design that makes the indoor and outdoor spaces feel like one. Priory Park featured within this article as the architects paid special attention to the redesign of the internal living spaces that gradually flowed out into an outdoor dining area. The original layout of the property was slightly disjointed, and the homeowners sought a stronger connection to the garden. An extension was designed to the rear of the property which offered step-free movement between the home and garden.

The extension at Priory Park included minimally framed sliding doors to both the kitchen extension and the dining room extension. The architects purposefully designed these spaces with separate access to the garden because, during the Summer, the sliding door from the kitchen will lead out into the alfresco dining area located within the patio design.
