Hunts Green Barn featured in The Times

Our Hunts Green Barn Project Wins the Listed Property Club Owners Club award for Residential Modern Extension of the Year, as featured in The Times.

The sensitive restoration prioritises living spaces with a whole new bedroom wing linking the new addition to the original barn via a structural glass link acting as a corridor.  The structural glass link tastefully merges old with new, while full height slim framed sliding glass doors offers connections to the mature grounds.

This barn renovation by McLaren Excell, honoured with a Listed Property Club Owners Club award, is a sensitive restoration that reimagines the living space. The design introduces a new bedroom wing, seamlessly tied to the original barn through a structural glass link serving as a corridor. This transparent connection respects the building’s heritage while offering a modern touch. 

Full-height, slim-framed sliding glass doors open up the interior to the mature landscape outside, enhancing the warmth of the space. The project’s thoughtful use of low embodied carbon materials, expansive frameless structural glass, and soft timber hues creates an inviting and sustainable environment.
