Grand Designs Feature Contemporary Home with IQ Glass Glazing

The full glazing package was provided for this modern home design.

Grand Designs magazine recently featured a case study showcasing this self build home in Hampshire. The project benefitted form the full glazing package from IQ, including frameless picture windows and oversized slim framed sliding glass doors.

The exterior of the home is extremely unique, using white Danish bricks on the ground floor and contrasting timber boards in a dark colour on the upper floors. The timber cladding allows the home to blend into the woodland setting and this is enhanced further by the use of minimally designed glazing.

Slim casement windows have been used have been used in conjunction with the slim framed sliding door systems, to forge a strong connection to the outdoor environment and create an indoor outdoor sense of living. When the weather permits, the doors can be slid open to create one large living space, allowing the homeowner who is a wheelchair user to travel freely through the home.
