IQ Glass was invited to write an expert article on structural glazing by one of the UK’s biggest architecturally focused magazines.
Structural glazing has become more prevalent in cross-sectional architecture and buildings in recent years but what exactly is structural glazing?
Our very own Rebecca Clayton, a technical sales executive at IQ Glass gives her expert opinions.
The first major difference between this type of glazing and traditional styles is the lack of supporting frameworks. In the featured project, Killiser Avenue, the glass supports its own weight and form, held together with structural silicone and supporting brackets.
