Daylight‑Driven Roof Glazing
Above, a roof glazing package was developed to bring balanced daylight into the depth of the plan. A long Sieger Legacy conservation rooflight references traditional rooflight proportions while delivering modern performance, sitting alongside a frameless fixed roof pane that emphasises the clean lines of the extension. An ARES automated opening rooflight with opaque glazing provides controlled ventilation and privacy, opening for purge ventilation at the touch of a button and closing securely when not in use.
Performance, Durability and Precision Engineering
The glazing specification was developed to ensure long‑term performance and reliability. The large sliding panes were heat‑soak tested to minimise the risk of spontaneous breakage on this highly glazed corner. All external aluminium framing was finished in RAL 7016 for a coherent, low‑maintenance exterior.
Slot drainage, perimeter flashings and bespoke pressings were coordinated to keep the glazing as minimal as possible while protecting the building fabric. Every detail was designed to enhance the architectural clarity of the extension.
