V&A Photography Centre Wins RIBA London South West Award 2025 | IQ Glass

IQ Glass is pleased to announce that the V&A Photography Centre, featuring our bespoke fire-rated glass doors, has won a prestigious RIBA London South West Award for 2025.

The renovation at the iconic V&A in South Kensington required specially engineered fire-rated glass doors with bespoke white frames and gold-finished fittings to match the centre’s distinctive interior design. IQ Projects overcame significant technical challenges, designing white-framed fire-rated doors, typically restricted to black, by specially adapting the Mondrian system to meet stringent fire safety standards.

Additionally, custom-made handles and gold fittings were created to maintain fire-rating compliance and complement the elegant aesthetic of the space. The result is a beautifully integrated design solution that reconciles safety with visual coherence.
