The Midlands team (IQ Aluminium) helped complete Plas Gyln by designing and installing glazing to finish the new café space.

Plas Glyn Featured in The RIBA Journal and Wins the 2024 RSAW Client of the Year Award

The new café at Plas Glyn-y-Weddw Arts Centre, which overlooks Llanbedrog Bay and is situated in north-west Wales, is an innovative addition to a sensitive heritage environment. The centre, which is recognised as the oldest art gallery in Wales, is set in a mansion house that is Grade II* listed. It is a vibrant, multipurpose environment that includes a gallery, museum, performance area, and event space.

In collaboration with IQ Projects, Mark Wray Architects created a new café and event space that would enhance the Grade II listed art gallery and replace its dilapidated, inefficiently heated conservatory.

Well done to the team at IQA for completing this amazing project and being one step that led the project to the RSAW Client of the year award!
