IQ Glass Shortlisted for Two Northern Design Awards 2026

IQ Glass is delighted to have been named as a finalist in two categories at the Northern Design Awards 2026, recognising the design and technical delivery of two outstanding architectural glazing projects in the North of England.

Making Place House in Calderdale, West Yorkshire, has been shortlisted in the New Build Home category, while Fodens Farm near Macclesfield, Cheshire, is a finalist for Bespoke Design.

The IQ Glass Northern team designed, supplied and installed the architectural glazing packages for both properties. Each project required a highly considered approach, combining specialist glazing design, detailed engineering and precise installation to meet the individual architectural brief.

At Making Place House, the glazing was designed to bring light into the contemporary countryside home while framing views across its exposed Pennine setting. The package included slim sliding doors, aluminium windows, structural glazing and rooflights, alongside a bespoke glazing installation around the indoor swimming pool.

Fodens Farm presented a different set of technical challenges, with an extensive glazing package installed across several phases. Key elements included a two storey wraparound glazed gable, a 25 metre structural glass walkway and a bespoke sliding door system providing access to the garage.

Being shortlisted in two categories recognises the expertise of the IQ Glass Northern team and its ability to deliver complex glazing solutions for ambitious residential architecture. It also reflects the close collaboration between IQ Glass, the homeowners, architects, contractors and wider teams behind both projects.

We are proud to see the work of IQ Glass recognised by the Northern Design Awards and wish everyone involved the very best of luck at the awards ceremony.

The winners will be announced at Chester Cathedral on Thursday 12 November 2026.
