Invisio+ Longlisted for Glass of the Year at the Archello Awards 2026

IQ Glass’ Invisio+ structural glazing fixing system has been longlisted for Glass of the Year at the Archello Awards 2026, recognising an innovative approach to frameless structural glazing that combines architectural freedom with verified thermal performance and lower embodied carbon.

Developed in-house by IQ Glass, Invisio+ is the next evolution of the original Invisio system, engineered to accommodate deeper glass units and triple glazing. The longlisting highlights the system’s contribution to contemporary architectural glazing, where large-format glass, thermal efficiency and considered material specification are increasingly important to architects and façade designers.

Advancing Frameless Structural Glazing

Invisio+ is a thermally broken structural glazing fixing system that allows large-format glass to be installed without visible framing, capping or supporting structure. With the fixing profile concealed within the surrounding building finishes, the system creates clean, uninterrupted glazed elevations while addressing the technical demands of high-performance buildings.

The system has been tested at architectural scale, with a verified Uw value of 0.5895 W/m²K when used with a Ug 0.7 W/m²K triple-glazed unit. Testing was carried out on a 3m × 6m assembly, demonstrating performance at a scale relevant to contemporary architectural projects. Invisio+ can also accommodate glass panels up to 6m tall without internal mullions, supporting expansive glazed façades and panoramic views.

Sustainability is another key consideration in the system’s development. Its fixing profiles are manufactured from 100% post-consumer recycled aluminium, with an embodied carbon figure of 0.89 kg CO?/kg. The system also allows individual glass panels to be removed independently of the primary fixing system, supporting future maintenance and replacement.
