Garden Studios wins RIBA award

The garden studios project, glazed by IQ Glass, was the winner of the RIBA East Regional Awards 2015.

Set in the rear garden of a Suffolk home the Garden Studios project was a twinned studio, both buildings designed with a frameless structural glass end.

IQ Glass designed, manufactured, and installed these specialist architectural glass elements to the project and designed the structural glass panels to step over the timber and steel structure for a sleek external finish.

Judges cited the ‘simple palette of materials', including the glass design, ‘and [minimal] details both internally and externally as one of the design's greatest aspects.
