Field House and Brighton College shortlisted in RIBA South East awards

IQ Glass are excited to announce that Field House and Brighton College have been shortlisted in the RIBA South East awards 2026.

Field House exemplifies how a contemporary rural home can be both modest and ambitious. Wilkinson King Architects have produced a building of clarity and calmness, where every line and material choice contributes to a sense of quiet excellence.

Set within an expansive rural landscape, the home is designed as a series of refined, low‑lying volumes that sit effortlessly within their surroundings. Wilkinson King Architects have crafted a building that feels calm, grounded, and deeply connected to the natural environment.

The projects use of glazing is a key element in shaping the home’s relationship with the landscape. IQ Glass worked closely with the design team to deliver minimal‑frame glazing solutions that enhance transparency, maximise natural light, and create seamless visual continuity between inside and out. The glazing specification for Field House was carefully developed to support the architects clarity and simplicity with IQ’s systems. The result was a home where glass became a defining architectural material not just a functional element, but a contributor to the projects serene atmosphere and spatial fluidity.

Brighton College’s new building stands as a powerful example of how architecture can shape educational experiences for the better. Through thoughtful design, sustainable ambition, and a deep understanding of the college’s values, Nicholas Hare Architects LLP have created a space that is both beautiful and purposeful.

A defining feature of this architectural vision is the use of bespoke glazing, which brings light, clarity, and openness to the heart of the design.

Working closely with the architects , IQ Glass supplied andinstalled a suite of high‑performance glazing systems tailored to the project’s aesthetic and environmental ambitions. The glazing strategy was developed to deliver expansive and natural daylight, precision detailing, thermal performance and slim framed architectural glazing.
