Blackheath House has been shortlisted in the Wood Awards 2018. The Wood Awards is the UK's premier competition for excellence in architecture and product design utilising wood. This Award is to celebrate, recognise, encourage and promote outstanding design that uses this fantastic natural material.
Blackheath House was designed using a range of wood species including; English Oak, Slavonian Oak, European Ashen Oak veneer, German & Danish Oak, English Oak Veneer, Austrian Spruce.
Large panes of minimally framed glass were installed alongside the vast use of wood throughout this project. The glazing accentuates the homeowner's connection with the outdoor nature which was a key element within this architecture design.
