Black House Farm by Robin Lee Architecture has been shortlisted for the Manser Medal 2023

Black House Farm Shortlisted For The Manser Medal 2023.

A 17th century farmhouse has been modernized with a brand new black themed timber extension featuring IQ glazing.

The home by Robin Lee Architecture has been overhauled with slim sliding doors and timber features to create a spacious home in South Downs National Park.

Due to its combination of classic English architecture and new,  modern design Black House Farm has been shortlisted for the Manser Medal for 2023.

Both the single storey addition and the barn conversion integrated the garden with the entire bedroom, open-concept kitchen, and home office spaces. The outside look is completed by the black powder coated framing profiles, which perfectly complement the black timber.

This barn conversion's glazing allows for lots of natural light to pour through the interior space, allowing residents to take in the beautiful green surroundings from any area in the house.

Two and three track slim sliding glass doors with pocket door configurations were installed by IQ Glass. The sliding panes offer a larger room for transitions and can drop into the wall to be hidden. To boost safety, a seven-point locking system with an internal locking option was used.

The team at IQ and Robin Lee are grateful to be nominated for such as prestigious award and a large congratulations goes out to both teams involved in completing such an extensive project.
