IQ's sliding doors to rear extension in North London.

The Victorian terrace house was treated to a new ground floor extension. To create a spacious new kitchen and living area. Sliding glass doors were used to get the eye-catching view of the garden and get the sophisticated look with smooth opening and direct access.

The sliding door allows maximum light to be invited into this narrow property with the system sliding up to and meeting a fixed glazed unit before the kitchen sides, maximising the light to the kitchen and creating the unique sensation of natural light coming through without any interrupted view of the garden. This enhances the internal living environment of the property creating a large open plan dining area.

Above the area a fixed, frameless rooflight brings in light vertically to the contemporary kitchen space, brightening the kitchen with colour offering the charm and elegance into your home. This dark grey powder coated aluminium frame has been used for this sliding door to add the bold, modern, elegant look.

The clients wish was to take advantage of the light and brighten up the room with colour. The modern slim framed door saves space and offers great benefits in the hot summer day, as this offers easy access in the outdoor areas and the glistening light shines through the structural glass windows brightening up the room.
