Open Plan Contemporary Family Home With Architectural Glazing

The homeowners of this new build in Surrey had previously owned and sold a listed manor and wanted to create something that kept hold of the luxuries of country living but also de-cluttered their lifestyle.

This new build was the perfect solution for them.

IQ Glass provided a full architectural glazing package in this residential re-design, including slim framed casement windows, slim framed sliding glass doors, frameless glass windows, and bespoke oriel windows.

The ground floor kitchen and dining area are almost completely walled in architectural glazing. Slim framed sliding glass doors face the outdoor kitchen and pool area, giving direct access out onto this outdoor living space.

wall of frameless structural glass connects to the sliding glass doors and continues down the linear living space, enhancing the natural light into a contemporary kitchen and living space.

In the ground floor, living areas large frameless windows made from structural glass and a large bespoke oriel window bring in light.

Mixed with the white interior walls this creates a bright open living space.

A rooftop terrace was created using frameless glass balustrades to reduce the impact of this spa.

This outdoor space is accessed through our slim framed sliding glass doors with integrated opening restrictors to create a safe door opening located at the top of the stairwell.

The families teenage children were gifted their own private living areas on the lower ground floor that benefit from glass sliding doors bring natural light into the sub ground level bedroom space.

All the upper floor bedrooms and bathrooms benefit from slim aluminum casement windows to allow light and ventilation.

The master bedroom, overlooking the rear pool area, mirrors the sliding glass door design of the lower floor kitchen to give access to a small balcony space, lined with frameless glass balustrades.
