This large terraced home underwent a vast renovation to make the space more suited to the young family’s needs. The renovation included numerous steel framed systems, creating a glazed façade at the rear of the property.
Using traditional steel designs, the sharp-edged profiles seamlessly connect the homeowners with their large manicured garden. The symmetrical design is achieved using sharp edged steel profiles, merging fixed and opening elements.

The frames were powder coated in a bronze colour to contrast the existing brick structure, with some of the window frames on the upper floors being black to create a dynamic mix. Glazing bars were integrated into the rear elevation glazing systems to enhance the traditional, contemporary look.
The four-storey property benefits from lower and upper ground levels, the lower ground floor provides direct garden access and houses a large dining room, flooded with natural light thanks to the slim framed steel frames.
On the upper ground level, an extension has been constructed using steel-framed roof glazing. The room extends out to meet the lower ground roof, creating a glass box between the brick structures. This creates a steel-framed orangery, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the garden views.
Inside the home, steel framed internal glazing has been integrated for a coherent feel. Steel frames have been powder coated in a pale colour to match the interior scheme, with glazing bars used internally too. This allows the natural light to flow further into the home, creating large bright spaces.
