Slim Framed Sliding Glass Doors in a contemporary new build in Richmond

In Richmond this contemporary new build house was created with impressive scales and curved walls including many elements of architectural glass.

The rear elevation of the new build home looks out over a stunning outdoor pool and garden area. Here IQ’s slim framed sliding glass doors, minimal windows, were used to great effect providing a full floor to ceiling wall of sliding glass leading out onto the pool area.

The slim framed sliding glass doors from IQ Glass are well suited for sliding glass doors in close relation to pool areas as the shallow sliding tracks make the flush threshold doors comfortable to walk over in bare feet.

Structural glass rooflights were used within the rear living areas, as well as a circular frameless window, to allow lots of natural light to enter the minimalistic space. The glass roof here was long and the silicone jointed glass joints within the structural glass roof supported by steel box sections in accordance with the architects design wishes.

With an odd shaped, racking wall to the rear IQ also had to design a frameless, triangular infill structural panel to connect the slim framed sliding glass doors and the stone wall structure minimally.

The interesting architectural design creates a bright, lighted filled home with impressive open plan living areas all with large elevations of glass looking and leading out into the gardens.
