IQ’s sliding glass doors were used on all three floors of this three storey rear extension in London.
The slim frame sliding doors are installed on a three-track configuration with the two right-hand sliding doors on every floor sliding onto the external face of the fixed left panel. On the two upper floors, a safety barrier obviously had to be used to stop any unfortunate falls.
IQ engineered a solution using a frameless glass balustrade fixed into the frameworks of the sliding doors to create a frameless and contemporary Juliette balcony. Surrounding the floor to ceiling glass openings on every floor is aluminium pressings coloured to the same RAL reference as the slim framings of the doors.
