The modern equivalent of a ‘Beach Hut’ located on the sand dunes of East Sussex uses a large symmetrical elevation of slim frame sliding glass doors and structural glazing to fill the gable shape for a contemporary design.
Large slim framed sliding glass doors were used on the ground floors to both beach houses, creating a full wall of glazing with minimal interruptions to the fantastic front row sea/beach view with direct access onto the sand.
Many frameless rooflights were used across the sloping roofs including an eaves rooflight using frameless structural glass. The carefully positioned up and over rooflight filters natural light through to the internal staircase/ hallway.
The master bedrooms in both beach houses have been considered carefully, located at the rear of the house overlooking the sea with floor-to-ceiling glazing filling both gable ends. Aluminium casement windows were used in all sizes throughout the beach houses with the slim frames maximising the amount of glass used ensuring light-filled living spaces.
The private balcony to the master bedroom uses frameless glass balustrade enabling seamless views of the sand dunes and sea. The glass balustrades allow the views to continue from through the sliding glass doors and structural glazing without interruptions.
