Highline Glass Façade System

Create large glass elevations with opening elements using the Highline residential glass façade system.

Integrated Windows and Doors

Glass facades for residential projects can be created in many ways. Our minimal windows Highline glass facade system offers complete freedom in design with multiple connection types available and the ability to incorporate bespoke opening glass elements such as a slim sliding door.

Integrating opening elements into a structural glass façade has always been awkward as it includes the addition of steel supporting structures and changes the minimal sightlines of the structural glass façade.

With this new façade system, this is no longer an issue. A range of slim framed aluminium door systems can be integrated into long elevations of glass with no change to the slim sightline.

Glass Façade Design

The aluminium profiles of the façade system can be powder coated any RAL colour to ensure that you can achieve the architectural finish required.

For upper storey glass elevations, a frameless glass balustrade can be integrated directly into the window opening to create a Juliet Balcony design with no change to the slim aluminium frame size.

Able to hold a double or triple glazed unit you can achieve high levels of thermal performance from this system and acoustic reduction values of up to 45 dB with Uw values as low as 0.7W/m2K.

Flexibility in Design

The minimal windows Highline glass facade system is the perfect way to achieve a completely flush glass finish in a high end home.

Any visible aluminium framing can be finished in a variety of ways including polyester powder coating in over 200 RAL colours. The system can also be specified with a range of technical glazing solutions such as solar control glass.

With such a minimal design and such flexibility in the glass facade design possible, this residential glass facade can be specified to fit any architectural style and meet specific project requirements, in terms of both performance and design.

Specification

Glass Specification

All of our systems use toughened glass with a low e coating as standard to give our clients the highest performing systems.

This residential glass facade system can hold glass thicknesses between 34 and 56mm, depending on the framing profile used and whether the pane is sliding or fixed.

Fixed panes are able to reach a staggering 18m2, with sliding panes reaching 8.5m2 and 12m2 for double and triple glazed units respectively.

As with all of our maximum sizes, these are the maximum sizes the systems have been tested to and the maximum in order to achieve the state performance values.

Depending on the project's specification and location larger sizes may be available upon request.

Frame Design

The Highline aluminium and glass façade system utilises high performance, thermally broken framing profiles and structural glazing to allow fully glazed facade designs to be realised.

The minimal windows Highline aluminium and glass façade system has three connection options, so the system can be specified to suit the needs of each specific project.

Firstly, a glass-to-glass connection can be utilised to design a flush surface glass façade. This option is made from insulated, concealed aluminium framing profiles and instead of posts, 10mm butt joints and structural glass bonding is used.

Secondly is the Semi-SG variant, which is also designed as a flush surface modern glass facade but using structural glass bonding and 20mm butt joints rather than 10mm.

Lastly is the cover-cap-look connection. This option uses ultra-slim posts with profiles of just 22/34mm. This aluminium and glass façade design still maintains the minimal and flush design.

Unparalleled Performance Values
