Our Glass Façade system with Concealed vents is a unique curtain walling system that can integrate inward opening windows and doors with no change to the 60mm frame size or profile design.
Integrating opening elements into a structural glass façade has always been awkward as it includes the addition of steel supporting structures and changes the minimal sightlines of the structural glass façade.
With this new façade system this is no longer an issue. Inward opening tilt and turn windows or inward opening hinged door can be integrated into long elevations of glass with no change to the slim 60mm frame.
The aluminium profiles of the façade system can be powder coated any RAL colour to ensure that you can achieve the architectural finish required.
To upper storey glass elevations a frameless glass balustrade can be integrated directly into the window opening to create a Juliet Balcony design with no change to the slim aluminium frame size.
Able to hold a double or triple glazed unit you can achieve high levels of thermal performance from this system and acoustic reduction values of up to 49 dB.
The FWS 60 CV is designed to integrate an opening window or door without changing the slim frame of 60mm. You can view this system at our Amersham Showroom. The aluminium façade system is able to hold a piece of glass from 22-50mm deep, suitable for both triple and double glazing units. The glass specification will have to be calculated depending on the installation specifics such as wind loading.
Each opening element within the elevation can be a maximum of 1.2m wide by 2.5m or 2.8m tall depending on the frame depth chosen.
The slim aluminium glass façade is a non-ventilated façade system with minimal framing. The vertical sightline of the system is 35mm with a internal box section of various depth depending on wind load and glass weights.
Basic Transoms for glass units of 250kg or less can be 70-155mm deep. Heavy Duty Transoms for glass units of up to 400kg are 130-155mm deep.
This glass façade system has two thermal break options:
SI Thermal Break = Uf value 0.88 W/m2K with Passivhaus Certification
HI Thermal Break = Uf value 1.2 W/m2K
This façade system makes up one wall of our new meeting room at the Courtyard Showroom. The full glass elevation contains an inward opening tilt and turn window to the centre of the façade system with a minimal 60mm continuous frame.
An integrated glass balustrade protects against the change in level outside, showcasing the integrated balustrade detail that you can achieve to upper floor glass elevations and Juliette Balcony designs.
All frames to the façade system have be powder coated in RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey and we have a wide range of powder coated finish samples for you to view.
