The Moorings | On Site Story

A vast glazing installation in Scotland completed by our Birmingham office.

The Moorings is a large glazing installation on the cusp of Loch Tay right in the middle of the Scottish countryside.

Further north of both Glasgow and Edinburgh, The Moorings was taken on by the IQ Glass team in our Birmingham Office (IQA). The project included our bespoke Inviso structural glazing, Sieger casement windows and several configurations of ultra slim sliding doors from minimal windows.

The project location was just over 7 hours away (417 miles) from the IQ distribution hub in Grendon which led to the IQ Birmingham project manager to carefully plan the delivery routes and team transport. With the glazing required on-site as early as possible, our delivery team had to set off for The Moorings in the early hours of the morning to ensure that the installation could take place on time. As well as this, the IQ PM made the trip to Scotland to oversee the installation and take some drone footage to document the site story.
