Triptych House Featured in Listed Heritage June 2023 | IQ Glass

Written by Michelle Martin

Triptych House is a Grade II listed building within the historical city of Winchester. The large manor house, which dates back to the 18th Century, has been transformed to a modern home with a simplistic low ceiling extension featuring black framed steel windows and floor to ceiling hinged doors.

"The new extension is placed to offer views out into the garden through full height 'crittall style' French doors".

When renovating or restoring listed and heritage buildings, it can be extremely challenging to gain planning permision.

In this project, the entire dwelling was renovated to bring it into the 21st Century whilst protecting the integrity of the original  main structure when installing the glass within the home.
