There are many different types of glazing, from single glazed to triple glazed and with a range of technical glass solutions to enhance the functionality of glazing. Glass specification should be considered carefully and by an expert, to ensure the glass is suitable for the environment it is going into.  

Livingetc included a ‘experts insight’ column in their latest issue, discussing the considerations of glazing to create light-filled interior designs. One of the main things IQ advised on was technical glass specification, such as solar control coatings which should be applied to any large or south-facing glass units to combat solar gain and help to prevent overheating in the warmer months.
