IQ’s project for Richmond House was featured in Grand Designs 4th Special Edition magazine.

This project features a contemporary extension onto the back of Richmond House.

A glass link was used to create a frameless link between the old and the new buildings.

A single storey extension with glass sliding doors were installed onto this home providing the home owners with a large open plan kitchen and living space.

By using slim framed sliding glass doors, any obstruction of view of the garden was minimised and the maximum amount of lighting can enter the home.

Easy access to the garden has been achieved due to the indoor-outdoor living experience that has been created using these glass sliding doors. Aluminium pressings have been added to the extension to conceal any construction elements and to keep the contemporary aesthetic the home owners wanted.
