Field House, designed by Spratley & Partners, has been awarded the best individual house in the 2020 Schuco excellence awards. The home was primarily recognised for its bespoke façade design, consisting of structural glazing in a gable end formation.
The unique home, set in a rural location, makes the most of its surrounding countryside views with oversized slim framed sliding glass doors. Sitting directly below the gable end glazing, the sliding door systems bridge the gap between indoor and outdoor environments and offer seamless travel between the two.
As well as a unique façade design, the internal spaces within the home are flooded with natural light thanks to the specialised glass systems used throughout the property. Corner to corner glazing is used to create a quiet reading nook on the first floor, as well as slim framed casement windows and fixed frameless elements.
Beyond the gable end glazing, a walk on floorlight is encompassed by frameless glass balustrades. The full glazing package provided for Field House was geared towards making the most of the picturesque location, forging a strong connection to the outside.
