Large Format Slim Sliding Doors for Panoramic Garden Views
IQ Glass supplied a wide range of slim sliding door systems across the ground and lower‑ground floors, enabling principal living areas, leisure spaces and circulation routes to open directly onto landscaped terraces and external seating areas. These slim sliding doors on Wentworth Estate ranged from two‑track to four‑track configurations, with panel heights up to 3.38m and impressive widths exceeding 7m. The 21mm thermally broken aluminium profiles maintain minimal sightlines, preserving uninterrupted views of the grounds.
Several elevations incorporated pocket sliding systems, allowing door panels to recess fully into cavity walls and disappear from view when open. Consistent flush thresholds ensure step‑free transitions between indoor spaces and outside terraces, supporting the home’s indoor–outdoor lifestyle and creating a strong connection between the architecture and woodland setting.
Structural Glazing, Rooflights and Frameless Balustrades
To maintain visual continuity across the home, IQ Glass installed extensive frameless structural glazing across the upper and lower floors. Fixed structural panes up to 7m wide and 6.66m tall were installed to create uninterrupted sightlines and large-format glazing to circulation spaces, lounge areas and basement leisure facilities.
The roof glazing package includes multiple frameless structural rooflights, with fixed units up to 7m long and electrically opening rooflights positioned for natural ventilation. These rooflights introduce daylight deep into the plan, illuminating internal corridors, bathrooms and the central staircase.
Externally, frameless balustrades surround terrace edges and lightwells, delivering safety without visible structural obstruction. Their concealed base channels maintain the minimalist aesthetic and harmonise with the property’s natural stone and glazing palette.
